There’s a whisper inside, or an uneasy feeling in your stomach letting you know something isn’t right.
You might even know exactly what’s wrong and what you’d like to be different but turning that into action is another story.
When we can’t find a way through, we can shove that discomfort deep down inside as a way to cope.
Sometimes, we cope by having a jam-packed schedule and being excellent at nearly everything we do. Over time, as we get used to using this strategy, we can become disconnected from ourselves and rely on others to shape our expectations, rather than do what feels most aligned with our needs. Maybe you can still hear that little voice inside, but figuring out how to get out of this pattern is so much to deal with.
Honor Your Truth
Maybe when you look in the mirror there’s an automatic feeling or thought that happens before you’ve even gotten a moment to ponder your appearance for yourself.
Or perhaps you get ready to share your personal story and summon all of the courage you have inside, only to find yourself censoring the most important details to make it more palatable for others.
For so many of us, we have this “out-of-alignment” feeling. When the moment comes to speak it out loud, something gets in the way, and we end up keeping it to ourselves…which is just…exhausting.

And help you get to a place where you embody your values and the things that matter to you; where you can hear that voice inside and honor it, unapologetically. Where you can experience a felt sense of worthiness, that’s been there all along.
You can live your life fully, proudly, and in connection with others.
As you begin (or continue) this journey, you will be more able to discover others who celebrate and honor these precious parts of you. We will work together to build tools that reinforce your internal sense of worthiness and belonging. We will work on growing your capacity to hold empathy for yourself and others without staying stuck or invalidating yourr experience. We will excavate — or cultivate — the belief that you are deserving of presence, rest, and good things.
My Services
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)
Depending on your goals, we may explore and reflect on your past, manage (and hopefully enjoy) your present, and dream about the future. We do this through slowing down and understanding your inner experiences, so you can get clear on what matters to you and if there’s pain, what hurts. This helps cultivate self-compassion and capacity to sit with difficult experiences and have more flexibility with what you do when difficult emotions surface.
Walking Psychotherapy
Walking psychotherapy is a great alternative to traditional therapy. Most of us sit all day long and/or have difficulty finding time to get outside and move our bodies. Others find it easier to focus and feel more comfortable walking and talking. I walk with clients on the Minute Man Bike Path, which is just down the block from my office.
